3 shot during baby shower on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS — Three people were shot during a baby shower on the east side of Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1100 N Arlington Ave around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. When police arrived on scene, they located three adult males with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

One person was in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen. A second was hit in the leg, while a third was shot in the buttocks and refused medical attention.

The shooting stemmed from a baby shower, police said, and happened in a restaurant parking lot.

IMPD’s investigation into the incident is ongoing.
